On November 11, the first domestic 1000MW ultra-supercritical unit FB2 rotor forgings developed by China National Machinery Heavy Equipment were successfully shipped and delivered to users, marking the realization of import replacement of the key core component of ultra-supercritical unit FB2 high pressure rotor forgings. So far, China has realized the complete domestic production of million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical steam turbine units, which provides strong support for improving the autonomous and controllable ability of major energy equipment such as ultra-supercritical units and guaranteeing the security of national energy equipment industry chain and supply chain.

This is another innovation achievement made by National Machinery Reloading to give full play to its ability of independent innovation, to innovate key core technologies, to practice its original mission, to fulfill the responsibilities of central enterprises, to create the source of original technologies, to promote the self-reliance and self-improvement of high-level science and technology, and to build a strong manufacturing country.
At the delivery ceremony site, the 620℃ ultra-supercritical unit FB2 rotor bearing the wisdom and sweat of the National Machinery reloader was officially delivered to Dongfang Turbine Co., LTD. The rotor will be used in the 1000MW ultra-supercritical unit project of Yueyang Power Plant of Hunan Electric Power Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Guoneng Yueyang") of National Energy Group.
FB2 is the cutting-edge advanced material used in the steam turbine of ultra-supercritical units at present. It is the core and key to the iterative upgrading of unit working parameters from 600℃ to 620℃, which can ensure higher thermal efficiency and lower energy consumption of units. All this time, because of the lack of basic material research and manufacturing technology, it has become the major technical bottleneck for our country to vigorously develop low carbon clean energy equipment.
Facing the major needs of the country, the two equipment bravely undertakes the mission, forging the national machinery expertise and serving the needs of the country. Relying on the technical accumulation of more than 60 years, relying on the extreme manufacturing advantages of high-end heavy equipment, after years of arduous scientific research and development, through a series of theoretical research and experimental work, many key core technology barriers have been broken. Fully mastered the manufacturing technology of 620℃ ultra-supercritical unit FB2 rotor.

In January 2022, Erzhong Equipment signed a contract with Dongfang Steam Turbine Co., LTD., Guoneng Yueyang 1000MW ultra-supercritical Unit of high pressure rotor, which successfully completed the development task in only 10 months and passed the user acceptance. The overall performance index of the rotor has reached the international advanced level, and achieved the breakthrough of 620℃ heat-resistant steel "from 0 to 1". At present, the two heavy equipment has mass production capacity, considerable market prospects.

Focusing on the research and development and manufacturing of high-end large-scale casting and forging parts, the two equipment has continued to promote technological innovation, upgrading and iteration in accordance with the large-scale product specifications, refined manufacturing technology and limited technical indicators. Now, the company has successfully made breakthroughs in the domestic production of key products such as nuclear power welding low-pressure rotors, gas turbine rotors and 630℃ material castings, achieving full coverage of high-end large-scale casting and forging materials in the energy equipment field, and becoming a major supplier of large-scale casting and forging parts in the domestic energy equipment field.
